Morfemi / carta

Michele Reginaldi ha cominciato a comporre i morfemi nel 2004. All’inizio si dilettò, come per gioco, con dei “ricci di carta”, che presto gli suggerirono di cimentarsi in qualche sperimentazione plastica usando dei consueti fogli di carta di formato A4 che nel corso degli anni sono diventati sempre più di formato A3 e alcuni 70x100. La grammatura della carta è di 300 grammi. I colori (bianco, nero e altri, solitamente acidi, artificiali, talvolta persino fosforescenti) sono sempre applicati a scultura ultimata insieme alla vernice trasparente finale che tende a vetrificare la superficie, aumentano la consistenza della carta favorendone l’irrigidimento. Circa il numero di morfemi realizzati, nell’esposizione presso gli spazi UNIFOR di Milano nel 2011 ne comparivano 154 ma complessivamente si ritiene esse siano nell’ordine di circa 200.

Morphemes / paper

Michele Reginaldi began to compose the morphemes in 2004. Initially he enjoyed himself with the “curls of paper”, and he soon engaged in plastic experimentation using standard paper sheets in A4 format, yet over the years he used A3 format and a small number in 70x100. The grammage of the paper is 300 grams. The final figures obtained are only held together with small drops of glue if neccessary. The colours, (white, black and also sharp, artificial even phosphorescent), is sprayed at last together with the final transparent varnish that tends to vitrify the surface, thus increasing the solidity of the paper and protects the surface. As for the number of morphemes created, 154 were shown in the exhibition at the UNIFOR showroom in Milan in 2011. Altogether it is thought that currently there are around 200 of them.
